8 WEEK BEGINNERS OBEDIENCE

COURSE FEE: $100 plus 
$25 Club joining fee plus your Annual Membership Fee (see 2024 Membership Fees below)

 

8 Week Course = 1 orientation session for humans only & 7 training sessions with the dogs

Dogs must be 4 months of age or older

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Note the No Refund Policy - please enrol only if you are committed and able to attend the course duration

  • Payment is due at the time of registration

  • Classes are limited to one handler per dog (family/partners welcome to watch from the bench seats to the side)

  • The SCDOC is not liable for any damage done by your dog

  • Handlers must be at least 12 years old - no exceptions

  • Dogs must 4 months of age - no exceptions

  • Dogs must be fully C5 vaccinated and up to date - proof to be supplied upon enrolment & each renewal period.


The Sunshine Coast Dog Obedience Club Inc is affiliated with Dogs Queensland (Canine Control Council QLD).

All training sessions and competitions are conducted in accordance with the rules of that association - available on request or online.

The Sunshine Coast Dog Obedience Club Inc accepts no responsibility for injury to members, their dogs, their property or spectators, however caused.

2024 MEMBERSHIP FEES

SINGLE:                                                                                 $15/yr 

DUAL:                                                                                    $20/yr

* must be resident at the same address.

JUNIOR (12 - 18 yr old):                                                         $5/yr

LIFE MEMBER:                                                                        $0/yr

* valid only for those nominated & approved.

HONOURARY MEMBER:                                                         $0/yr

* valid only for those nominated & approved.

Evidence of current vaccination for each dog is a requirement for renewal. If a titre test is being used, evidence of current vaccination for kennel cough must also be provided as this is not covered by the titre test.

  • Only fill this form out ONCE - duplicate submissions slow down the process

  • Club membership is not automatic. New Member applications must be first endorsed by the Management Committee, then approved at a General Meeting of Club Members.

  • Vaccination proof is to be uploaded to the form, only image files are accepted (jpg, png, etc) by the website. 

  • For dogs that live or regularly play together we recommend enrolling them into separate classes to limit potential focus & distraction issues

  • For any issues enrolling email the membership officer.

MEMBER INFORMATION

All club communications are posted to the Members Only Facebook Group, including if classes need to be cancelled due to weather. Please join this group to be informed of club activities, events, meeting announcements, meeting minutes, volunteer opportunities, and your classes.

 

The SCDOC collects personal information for the purpose of communicating with members and to maintain the Register of Members in accordance with s. 9.1(a) of the Association of Incorporations Act 1999 (Qld). Your personal information may only be distributed to a third party where you consent to the disclosure or is required or authorised by law.

  • I/we hereby apply to join membership of the Sunshine Coast Dog Obedience Club (SCDOC) and agree to be bound by its rules and the constitution and Rules of the Canine Control Council Qld (Dogs Queensland).  A copy can be viewed here.

  • I/We accept responsibility for my dog's behaviour at all times

  • I/We acknowledge that photos will be taken at times during Club activities (mainly for the Club Members Facebook page).
